Canton Township Closed Monday for Inclement Weather
Summit on the Park and the Canton Public Library will be open as Warming Centers.
The Canton Administration Building and Summit on the Park Community Center will be closed Monday, Jan. 6, due to due to the snowstorm that could leave as much as a foot of snow over southeast Michigan.Â
The Summit on the Park will remain open as a warming center only. All classes and events are cancelled, exercise and recreation facilities will not be available for use. The Canton Public Library will also be open as a warming center.
Both facilities will re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at their normal business hours.

Canton has also cancelled its Jan. 6 Planning Commission meeting.
Additionally, the township has declared a Snow Emergency and issued an Emergency Traffic Order until 12 p.m. Jan. 7.ÂÂ
All motorized vehicles are to be removed from all streets during the effect of the order to allow proper plowing and salting of roadways.
All Canton residents are advised to comply during the period of this emergency.Â
