Car Wash To Support Plymouth-Canton Vietnam Veterans At Main Street Car Wash This Sunday

It is time once again for the annual Vietnam Veterans Car Wash at Main Street Car Wash in Plymouth. Once
a year, the Purcell family generously opens their car wash to our veterans to host this important fundraiser. The Purcell family have been long time supporters of our veterans, and every single dollar, for every single car wash will go to the Veterans Relief Fund, which helps fund all of the charitable endeavors for the Plymouth-Canton Vietnam Veterans of America.

Veterans from all conflicts sometimes find themselves in need, and our local Vietnam Veterans always step
in to give them a hand up. I have seen firsthand the many great things they do in our community, from sponsoring a Boy Scout troop, to retiring flags, to their Adopt A Road program, and also the other more private endeavors, where they quietly step in to help out their fellow veterans in need.

It takes the generous donations from the Plymouth-Canton community to fund these things, and consequently, our veterans spend a lot of time fundraising. I will be proudly helping them out on Sunday, washing cars at the Main Street Car Wash, as a small token of my gratitude for their service to our nation.

We are anxiously watching the weather, and hoping that the good weather forecast for Monday comes a bit
sooner than planned. I'll say this though, rain or shine, our veterans will be there, and if you don't want a car wash, they are gratefully accepting donations as well. It is every bit as much about supporting our veterans, as it is about getting a squeaky clean car, so please come out to the Main Street Car Wash on Sunday, between 9:00 AM & 5:00 PM and show your support for our Plymouth-Canton Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 528..
