Children's Books Stolen from Plymouth Township Man's Mailbox

Police said the empty package was left in the mailbox.

A 43-year-old Plymouth Township man on Crabtree Lane reported mail stolen from his mailbox sometime between Dec. 13 and Dec. 14, according to a police report. 

The man said two children's books were stolen from their packaging after being delivered, the report said.

The man told police he emptied his mailbox on Dec. 13, but when he went to get the mail on Dec. 14, the saw just the empty package in his mailbox, the report said.

The books were valued at $20 each, but the man could not remember the book titles or describe the books, the report said.
