Detroit Area Work Week Weather Forecast: Rain Gives Way to Sun Cooler Temps By Wednesday
With spring just a few weeks away, Michigan's weather is still on the cool side for much of this week.
METRO DETROIT, MI — After a warm but dreary to start to the work week, the sun will make an appearance on Wednesday and bring with it cooler temperatures. The National Weather Service predicts a strong chance of rain tonight after the daytime high nearly touches 60 degrees.
Here’s a look at the rest of your work week weather:
Today: A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 59. South wind 9 to 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. Tonight: A chance of showers, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1 a.m. Low around 53. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1 p.m. High near 58. West southwest wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 35. Southwest wind 9 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 46. Windy, with a west southwest wind 13 to 18 mph increasing to 25 to 30 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 41 mph. Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27. Blustery.

Thursday: A chance of rain after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 45. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. Thursday Night: A chance of rain and snow before midnight, then a chance of snow between midnight and 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 39.
