Geddes Road Crash Leaves Teen In Serious Condition: Canton PD

A head-on crash at the intersection of Geddes and Beck roads Monday morning morning has left a teenager in serious condition, police said.

CANTON, MI — A head-on crash at the intersection of Geddes and Beck roads in Canton Monday morning morning has left a teenager in serious condition, according to Canton police.

Police said shortly before 7:45 a.m. Monday, a 2013 Mercury, driving by a 19-year-old Monroe man was going east on Geddes Road when it collided head-on with a 2012 GMC driven by a 29-year-old Ypsilanti resident.

The 19-year-old driver was taken to a local hospital and remains in serious but stable condition, police said. The 29-year-old driver was also taken to a local hospital for precautionary measures, according to police.

The Canton Police Department's accident investigation team is investigating the crash, police said. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, police said.

The intersection was closed following the incident but has since reopened.
