Girl Scouts to hold donation drive for kids and animals in need
Drive-through event also includes Girl Scout cookie sales, while supplies last

Members of the community can help children and animals in need by donating items on Saturday, June 27 from 12:00-6:00 p.m. at Bird Elementary School, located at 220 Sheldon Road, Plymouth MI.
The drive-through event is organized by 5th grade Girl Scout troop 40130.The girls and their leaders will collect:

- Socks, underwear and pajamas for kids, especially for toddlers and teenagers
- Diapers
- Pet food
- Clean bath towels, used or new, for pets
The donations will be given to the three charities the girls selected, all of which serve children or animals.
A limited amount of Girl Scout cookies will be available for sale at $5 a box, with proceeds benefiting the charities.

The girls and adults will wear masks, and ask community members to do the same when they drive up.
The Girl Scout troop is organizing this community event to earn their Bronze Award, which will help them to get to their Gold Award, the equivalent to being an Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts.
