High Velocity Sports to Offer Virtual Learning Environment

High Velocity Sports located at 46245 Michigan Ave., Canton, MI 48188 is working closely with the state of Michigan to obtain an official Daycare license (in addition to its Day Camp license) in order to host school aged children (5-12 years old) Monday-Friday 7:30 am-6pm starting September 8th in response to the need for daycare services for children with delayed starts and who have enrolled in online academies. The daycare license will ensure the best care for participants.
Working parents and those wanting social interaction for their children will have the opportunity to enroll in High Velocity Sports Daycare where HVS staff will assist children in logging into online programs and monitor kids in a study hall area. In between classes, HVS Staff will also run fun sports activities. Participants will need to bring their own devices and headphones or ear buds but HVS will provide wifi. The transition between class and sports will be fluid to accommodate the different schedules of each child.

In an effort to adhere with safety guidelines from the health department and CDC, High Velocity Sports will require children to wear masks except when eating or participating in a high intensity activity. All staff will also wear masks. Temperature checks will be conducted every day for staff and children prior to entry along with a quick COVID-19 verbal questionnaire at curbside drop-off. Each person will also hand sanitize prior to entry. Children will be given a sanitized milk crate to store belongings for the day.
There is no contract so kids can enroll by the day, the week, and even for half day. Full-day options include a daily rate of $55/child or $250 for M-F, 7:30am-6pm. Half-day options include a daily rate of $30/child or $135 for M-F, 7:30am-12pm or 1-6pm.
