Highly-Rated Genova Pizzeria Seeking Liquor License
Known for its wood-fired pies, Genova Pizzeria wants to serve beer and wine. Canton's Board of Trustees will vote on it Tuesday.
CANTON, MI — A popular Canton restaurant is seeking approval for a liquor license. The township’s Board of Trustees will decide Tuesday if Genova Pizzeria will be able to offer patrons beer and wine in the near future.
The pizzeria, which opened in 2013 at 42911 Ford Road in the outlot of the Canton Corners Shopping Mall, uses a wood-fired oven to give its signatures pies their unique flavor. According to township documents, Genova has experienced steady growth since opening, about five percent each year. Owners believe being to serve drinks will help continue that growth.
The restaurant has been hit with pizza lovers since opening. Genova gets a four out of five star ranking on the review site Yelp.
