Local Concert Festivals Keep The Party Going This Summer

The cookouts, the picnics, the trips to the beach - no matter what you’re into, summertime offers a lot of chances to get outside and enjoy the nice weather - especially here in Michigan, when the winters can seem to last forever.

Whether you’re hiking, biking, taking a swim, or just taking a walk, there’s plenty of fun summer activities to pick from, and Genisys Credit Union is making sure music lovers can get in on the action too.

All throughout the summer, Genisys is sponsoring a number of outdoor concert series and music festivals for all tastes and ages. Through partnerships with a number of communities and organizations throughout Michigan, these concert series will offer fun and varied outdoor activities to help families and music lovers make the most of this summer.

The following concert series have been announced so far, and we’ll make changes and updates as able:

Wixom Summer Concert Series & Family Fun Night
Location: Sibley Park, Wixom MI
When: Every Thursday from June 28 to August 23
The city of Wixom is proud to present this fun and varied series of weekly concerts every Thursday night in Sibley Park! Bring the family out and enjoy the music!

Clarkston Concerts in the Park
Location: Clarkston, MI
When: Every Friday from June 29 to July 20
Clarkston is already well-known for being a concert destination thanks to the DTE Energy Music Theater, and we’re happy to expand on that with a series of weekly concerts in the park, right here in Clarkston!

Orion Concerts in the Park
Location: Wildwood Amphitheater, Orion MI
When: Every Tuesday from July 3 to July 31
The Wildwood Amphitheater has been host to a lot of exciting events of the years, and Genisys® is happy to sponsor a series of weekly concerts for Orion residents of all ages!

Clio Summer Concert Series
Location: Clio Amphitheater, Clio MI
When: Every Tuesday from July 10 to August 14
The Clio Amphitheater is known for its varied concerts, and this summer will be no exception! Every Tuesday, starting July 10, the city of Clio and Genisys® Credit Union are partnering to bring you a range of concerts that will offer something for the whole family!

Vassar Summer Concert Series
Location: Downtown Vassar, MI
When: Twice a month on Wednesday from July 11 to August 22
The city of Vassar has been really ramping up their concert and festival game lately, and we can’t wait for you to see what’s in store for Vassar residents and music lovers this summer! Two times a month in July and August, downtown Vassar will be home to concerts, vendors, and much more!

Wild Summer Nights
Location: Detroit Zoo
When: Every Wednesday from July 11 to August 29
Genisys® is excited to announce that we’ll be sponsoring a weekly series of concerts at the Detroit Zoo! Starting July 11, every Wednesday is going to get a little wilder than usual at the zoo with a series of free concerts from local bands, ranging from children’s and classical to pop, folk, and blues. Bring a picnic blanket and get wild with us!

Chesterfield Summer Concert Series
Location: Brandenburg Park, Chesterfield MI

Music in the Air Friday Night Concert Series

Orion Concerts on the Porch
Location: Orion Center, Orion MI
When: August 14 and August 21
It might sound like a strange place to have a concert, but porch shows are all the rage these days and the Orion Center offers one of the biggest porches around! Twice in August the Orion Center will be offering all-ages concerts to help you enjoy those last few weeks of summer!
