We asked Patch readers in more than 1,000 communities to tell us what their moms mean to them. Nearly 200 people responded, paying tribute not just to moms but sometimes to grandmas, sisters and daughters who deserve recognition for Mother’s Day 2021.

Dear Mom, thank you for being my mom (and Chris, Laura, Karen, Mike, Tim and Pete’s.) Somehow you always managed to take care of everyone. I have this memory of grocery shopping with at least 5 of us. Three in the cart & 2 walking next to it. Where did the food go? Until I became a mother, I never understood how much you did for me. Thank you for being the best example of how to love others. You are a true follower of Jesus Christ. I am so grateful to have this opportunity to celebrate the wonderful woman, Mother, and friend you are to me and so many others. You are so loved. Happy Mother’s Day Mom‼️
