Memorial Day 2017 looks beautiful with mostly sunny skies and a high in the mid 70s.

METRO DETROIT, MI — In Michigan, Memorial Day marks the unofficial start to summer. As if right on queue, Mother Nature is set to deliver metropolitan Detroit a beautiful week. After showers Sunday night, Memorial Day looks picture perfect with mostly sunny skies and a have of about 76 degrees.

As you go back to work or school on Tuesday, as the case may be, the mostly sunny skies will stick around but it will be a bit cooler. There is no rain in the forecast after Sunday night. Here’s a closer look at the metropolitan Detroit weather forecast:

Sunday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 11pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 58. South southeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Memorial Day: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. West southwest wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 57. West southwest wind 7 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. West southwest wind 9 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 67. Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 52.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56.
