Metro Detroit Weekend Weather Forecast: Heavy Rain Friday
As much as two inches of rain could fall in metropolitan Detroit by the end of the day Friday.

METRO DETROIT, MI — As much as two inches of rain could fall in metropolitan Detroit amid continuous showers Thursday and Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Rain started around 9 a.m. in many parts of the area and is not expected to ease up until Saturday.
“The Metro Detroit area is in the bullseye for the heaviest amount of rainfall,” Alex Manion, a meteorologist with the weather service station in White Lake Township, told the Detroit News. He said temperatures will also hover in the low 50s all weekend, about 15 degrees cooler than normal for early May.
Temperatures will not get back to near normal until Tuesday. As for the rest of Thursday, the high will reach about 51 degrees and metropolitan Detroit will get about an inch of rain. Winds will kick up to 17 mph Thursday night. Here’s a look at the rest of your weekend weather:

Thursday Night: Showers. Low around 44. North northeast wind around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Friday: Showers. High near 50. North northeast wind 15 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible. Friday Night: Showers likely, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. North wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Saturday: Showers likely, mainly after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. North northwest wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. Saturday Night: Showers likely, mainly before 8pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 38. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 53. Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 35.
