The weekend weather forecast looks sunny, but will it translate to warmer temperatures?
METRO DETROIT, MI — If you’re not quite ready for really warm temperatures but like a lot of sunshine, you’ll find this weekend is made to order. After rain Thursday night, metropolitan Detroit will see clouds clear out and the sun take over on Friday and continue right through the weekend. Temperatures will hover in the mid 50s until Sunday, when the thermometer jumps up to a more seasonable 62. Here’s a closer look at your weekend weather:
Thursday Night: Showers and thunderstorms likely before 11pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 46. West wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 55. West wind around 14 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. North northwest wind 7 to 10 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 55. North northeast wind 8 to 11 mph. Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 40.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 62. Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 41.

Sunshine will continue right through the start of the workweek, according to the National Weather Service. Monday is expected to be sunny with a high near 59.
