Milford Man Dies In Monday Morning Crash

Police said the man's vehicle crashed into the back of a semi tractor-trailer in Plymouth early Monday morning.

PLYMOUTH TWP. — A 37-year-old Milford man died Monday morning when his car crashed into the rear of a tractor trailer parked on the side of the road, police said.

Michigan State Police troopers were dispatched to northbound I-275, near Ann Arbor Road around 2 a.m. in Plymouth for reports of a crash.

Police said preliminary investigation revealed that the tractor trailer was parked with its hazard lights on on the right shoulder of northbound I-275. The car driven by the Milford man went off the roadway and struck the rear of the trailer.

The Milford man died instantly, police said. He has not been identified.

The driver of the semi was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.
