Motor City Blend rehearses at 7 p.m. Tuesdays at Orchard United Methodist
Church, 30450 Farmington Road, Farmington Hills. Members come from
Canada and Ohio, and 11 different Michigan counties. Sandra Carpenter,
Kathy Green and Pat Shuffler, all of Farmington Hills, belong to the

Motor City Blend is a new chorus of Sweet Adelines International directed by
LeAnn K. Hazlett and Sylvia Karpinsky. Its first rehearsal was in
January, and the chorus won first place in its
regional competition in April. That earned the group the opportunity to
compete in the Sweet Adelines International competition in St. Louis
