P-CCS And The Salvation Army Team Up To Share The Love, Not The Flu
What's the best way to keep kids in the classrooms? Keep em healthy! Join forces with P-CCS and Salvation Army to stop the spread of the flu

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools, and the Salvation Army have joined forces this month to Share the Love, Not the Flu. This partnership will last for the month of February, and this effort was born from a wonderful idea from one of our P-CCS parents, who saw a need for items that will help stop the spread of the flu in our classrooms. If you are a parent, you most likely know what I am talking about.
Love Thy Neighbor is not a new idea, and in past years, the Salvation Army has used Valentines Day, and the month of February to promote giving, in an effort to collect personal care items for their pantry, but after hearing of a need in our schools, they have revamped this concept in order to help out P-CCS with this need in their schools.
This is really simple, inexpensive, and easy to do. When you find yourself at the grocery store, or in my case, your local Target, Kmart, or wherever, just pick up an extra box or two of Kleenex, or some hand sanitizer, or some liquid hand soap, anti-bacterial soap or wipes, and maybe a can of disinfectant spray to top it all off. Maybe even one or two of each! Whatever you are comfortable giving will be greatly appreciated! You can then drop them off at the local Salvation Army, on Main Street, just south of Ann Arbor Road.

There is more:
Now here is the call to ALL of our local businesses, and organizations, and make no mistake, we have a fantastic group of both, who are very giving to our community in general, and our Salvation Army in particular. If you own a local business, and would like to help with this project, you can contact Laurie Aren, at the Plymouth Salvation Army, and she will help you to get a donation box set up at your business. The same holds true for any organizations looking for a community project to be involved with. If you want to go even further, you can make a monetary donation that will be earmarked for this particular effort.
