8th Grade Recognition Ceremony-Save the Date
The 8th Grade Recognition Ceremony is scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 1:00-2:45 PM. The Pioneer Class of 2021 will be recognized in a drive through ceremony on Thursday afternoon. In order to keep things running smoothly, we need families to follow this schedule:
1:00-1:20 Last Names A-E
1:20-1:40 Last Names F-J
1:40-2:00 Last Names K-O
2:00-2:20 Last Names P-T
2:20-2:40 Last Names U-Z
Â
Families will need to turn into the Pioneer Main Entrance and follow the Bus Loop on the West side of the building. We will have staff on hand to help direct you. We will have stations set up along the way where the students will receive a variety of items. Additionally, we are currently producing an 8th grade recognition video that we will share with parents on the last day of school.
Â
Water Bottles:
Please encourage your student to bring a refillable water bottle to school each day. We have three water bottle filler stations available around the building for students to use.
Â
Summer Reading Information:
Mrs. Marchesano has been visiting classes encouraging students to make reading part of their summer and to take advantage of summer programs available through our public libraries. Mrs. M.’s presentation is available to students on the Library Canvas page: bit.ly/PioLibCanvas. Students can also access ebooks and audiobooks 24/7 there. Here’s more information with recommended book lists for students. Reading 4-5 books will prevent learning loss this summer.Â
