Plymouth Business Cited For Coronavirus Violations, State Says
A Plymouth business has been cited by state licensing officials after violating state-mandated coronavirus restrictions, officials said.
PLYMOUTH, MI — A Plymouth business has been cited by state licensing officials after violating state-mandated coronavirus restrictions, state officials said Tuesday.
The Post Local Bistro, 844 Penniman Ave., had its liquor licenses and permits suspended on Jan. 14 after having around 100 people in an outdoor service area on at least one occasion January, according to a licensing document issued by state licensing officials.
According to state documents, a state investigator visited the bistro in January and found that the business' parking lot was "full of vehicles." When the investigator entered an outdoor service area for the business, they found "nearly every available seat occupied, along with several people standing near tables."

The investigator also noted in their report that tables were not properly distanced, customers were not wearing masks and about 100 people were in the outdoor service area for the business.
Numerous warnings had been given to the bistro, according to state documents. Plymouth police and Wayne County compliance officers had previously visited the bistro and warned its owners about the violations, according to the state documents.

State officials said they have cited 37 businesses for coronavirus violations since September.
