Plymouth-Canton School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Plymouth-Canton is September 5. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Plymouth-Canton Community School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

October

• 10/31: K-5 Half Day

November

• 11/7: No School for Students (Professional Development)
• 11/22 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/6: K-5 Half Day (Parent-Teacher Conferences)
• 12/7: K-5 Half Day (Parent-Teacher Conferences)
• 12/25 - 1/5: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/8: Classes Resume
• 1/15: No School for Students (MLK Holiday)
• 1/24: Grades 9-12 Half Day, Finals
• 1/25: K-12 Half Day
• 1/26: K-12 Half Day

February

• 2/16: No School for Students or Staff (Conference Comp Day)
• 2/19: No School (Mid-Winter Break)

March

• 3/14: K-12 Half Day
• 3/15: K-12 Half Day
• 3/30 - 4/6: No School (Spring Break)

April

• 4/9: Classes Resume
• 4/10 - 4/11: Grade 9-12 State Testing

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/13: Grades 9-12 Final Exams
• 6/14: K-12 Half Day
• 6/15: Last Day of School, K-12 Half Day
