A ceremony marking the 76th anniversary of Japan's attack on the naval base at Pearl Harbor will be held in downtown.

PLYMOUTH, MI — In a little more than an hour, more than 2,000 American soldiers were killed, four battleships were sunk and four others damaged. It was Dec. 7, 1941, the day the Japanese attacked the naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
On Thursday, veterans will gather in downtown Plymouth to remember the day that took so many American lives and forced the United States into World War II. VFW Post 6695, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 528, and American Legion Post 391 will participate, according to a Plymouth Observer report.
The ceremony will be held at the Plymouth Veterans Memorial Park on Main Street starting at 1 p.m.
