Plymouth VFW Ladies Auxiliary Hosts Their Popular Soup And Salad Dinner

All you can eat, hot soup, and cold salads for a five dollar bill! This is the best dinner deal in town on Saturday, January 16th.

The best Soup & Salad dinner in the Wayne County area is happening on Saturday, January 16th, and it’s right here in Plymouth! The Plymouth VFW Ladies Auxiliary is once again hosting their annual Soup & Salad Dinner, and it happens between 5:00-7:00 PM this coming Saturday, at the Plymouth VFW Post 6695. The best news of all? All you can eat for $5.00!

This is the very first public event that I ever attended at the Plymouth VFW Post, and the minute I walked in, I was very happy that I had chosen to come. There were tables lining one wall with nothing but crocks on them, and they were filled with every kind of crock pot heaven that I could want. The next wall was lined with tables, filled with as many salads as a person could want. I guarantee that even the finickiest of eaters will find tons of things that will tantalize and please.

Once you have had your fill, there is the famous “Buck-A-Pop” table for dessert. The women of the Ladies Auxiliary are not only good with the crock pots, but they have been known to put Betty Crocker to shame with their awesome desserts. There will be an assortment of homemade desserts for $1.00 a piece. Generally I bring a five dollar bill to the Buck-A-Pop table, and bring some home with me for a snack.

I know that the weather is getting cold, and it’s sometimes a bummer for travel, but you will find plenty of hot soup, and warm people at this event. As good as the food is, the people that are at these events, our veterans and their families, are the very best part of the evening. You’ll never find a better group of people to sit down and have a meal with. I promise you that!

So here is the deal: For a five dollar bill you get all you can eat:
