Plymouth VFW Post Has A Shiny New Banquet Room Floor Courtesy Of The Home Depot Foundation
Many Thanks goes to The Home Depot Foundation, Lisa Nocerini, Fred Paffhausen, and an army of workers, for the new floor at the VFW Post.
The men and women of the Plymouth VFW Post 6695 would like to thank the many people involved in making it possible to replace the tile floor in their banquet hall.
Dennis Bielskis, who spearheaded this effort, said “I would like to first thank The Home Depot Foundation on behalf of our local veterans, for awarding us this Community Impact Grant. We could not have undertaken this project without their help, and it's really gratifying to see The Home Depot put such an effort into working with all of our veterans so that we can provide a safe meeting place for our veterans, and our
community.”
Mr. Bielskis said that there are many other people to thank, and that certainly includes the 37 veterans and community members who showed up to help complete this project in a very quick and efficient manner.

There are two other very kind people that our veterans would like to sincerely thank, and one is Lisa Nocerini. “I run a consulting firm, and one of the things that we specialize in is grant writing. When Bryan Bentley reached out to me to see how we could help the veterans at VFW Post 6695, Fred, my grant writer, and
I put our heads together to identify the Post’s needs and opportunities to meet their needs. The Home Depot Community Impact Grant Program provided an excellent opportunity to address one of the Post’s most pressing need to improve the safety, appearance, and operations of their Post by replacing the floor.” —Lisa Nocerini, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Nocerini Strategy Group, LLC
Mr. Bielskis also wanted to give a special thanks to Fred Paffhausen, who worked hand in hand with Mr, Bielskis every step of the way, to make this grant a reality. “Both my grandfathers served in World War Two, and I was proud to be able to honor their memories and the service of many veterans. It was a pleasure and a privilege to be able to assist the good folks at the Post on this project.”—Frederick D. Paffhausen, Director of Grant Research and Communications, Nocerini Strategy Group, LLC

Mr. Bielskis added that, “It is always heartening to know that there are businesses like The Home Depot, good people like Lisa and Fred, and an army of volunteers that make it a point to step up an ensure that we at the Plymouth VFW Post can continue to be active in helping out our local veterans, and be a positive force in our community.”
