Plymouth VFW Post To Host Fund Raising Dinner For Blue Lake International Choir Member Vanessa Farkas

Vanessa Farkas is one of 35 members chosen out of over 1000, who auditioned for the Blue Lake International Choir for the 2017 season.

I am very pleased to announce a fundraiser for a very talented young lady named Vanessa Farkas. She is an aspiring music student, and at the age of 13, she appears to be a rising star. Vanessa not only plays the violin and guitar, but she is also a wonderful vocalist, and has earned a spot on the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp International Choir for the 2017 season. Over 1000 applicants tried out for 35 spots on this choir, and Vanessa was one of the those who auditioned, and earned her spot.

This choir will travel all across Europe to perform, and it promises to be a wonderful, once in a lifetime learning experience for Vanessa. This is where the fund raising part comes in. These students are expected to raise most of the expenses for their trip, and Bob Williams, who is one of our Vietnam Veterans from the Plymouth VFW Post is hosting a dinner on March 11th to help Vanessa raise the necessary funds for this experience. This dinner will be at the Plymouth VFW Post.

This event is a buffet dinner, featuring Chicken, Sauerkraut & Sausage, Mostaccioli, Oven Brown Potatoes, Mac & Cheese, Broccoli, Salad, Rolls & Butter, Dessert Table, Coffee, and a cash bar for those who would
like cocktails. This is quite a menu.

There will also be DJ Koz spinning some great oldies, and the biggest bonus will be performances by Vanessa and her very talented family. You will see first hand the talent of this young lady.

For those feeling lucky, there will be a 50/50 drawing, there will be basket raffles, and there will be some amazing items that will be part of a silent auction. Auction items include: hand crafted clocks, art, quilts, wood working, illustrations to services like massage therapy, sleigh ride, sport themed gift baskets, wine baskets and much much more.
