Plymouth VFW Post To Host Meat Raffle

Join our veterans on Saturday, November 4th for a chance to fill your freezer! This is a fun event!

The VFW Auxiliary at the Plymouth VFW Post is hosting their annual meat raffle, and this is a fun event. This raffle is happening on Saturday, November 4th at 7:00 PM at the Plymouth VFW Post. For those who have never heard of a meat raffle, it is basically just that. There will be 14 rounds of chances to win various kinds of meat.

There will be turkeys, hams, steaks, pork roasts, gourmet burgers, chickens, brats, steaks, many baskets of goodies and much more. There is also a very nice booze basket as well as a door prize.

So here's the lowdown. For $15 you will be entered into each of 14 rounds. The first 13 rounds have 10 prizes each, and you have a chance to win once each round. The 14th and final round has 14 prizes, and this round has some very nice prizes.

Patty Brothers is coordinating this event, and has put a ton of work into making it the most fun you can have sitting down. There are a couple things she would want to tell folks. The most important, is a reminder that you will want to bring a cooler with you to take any prizes you win home. The second is the offer a big thanks to a few community businesses that generously contributed to this event, and they include Kroger, Trader Joe's, and our very own Marvin Jarbo, who owns Eastern Market of Canton, and is always very generous when asked to contribute to our veterans.

So bring a cooler. Bring a friend. Bring a friend with a cooler, and prepare to have a good time with some very good people.
