Shots Fired At Canton Apartment Complex
No injuries were reported. Canton Police is investigating the incident, which occurred shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday.

CANTON, MI — A Canton apartment complex was put on lockdown Tuesday afternoon after police received several 911 calls of shots fired. No injuries were reported at the Crossing at Canton apartment complex, which sits on Joy Road near I-275, Canton Police said in a statement.
The 911 calls came in shortly after 2 p.m. The Plymouth-Canton Community School District was notified and took precautionary measures during dismissal of students, police said.
The lockdown was lifted about an hour later and students were bussed into the complex at their normal drop-offs. An investigation of the incident is ongoing by Canton Police, which declined to provide further details to Patch Tuesday evening.
