Computer Skills Help for Beginners
When: Saturdays, 9:00-11:00 a.m.; Sundays, 3:30-5:30
Details: Every library computer has self-guided activities for practice with mouse skills,
copying/pasting and other computer basics. Experts are also on hand to help on designated days.
Digital Download Drop-In Help
When: Fridays, 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Details: Get one-on-one help from our Information Desk. Bring your device and, if you are a Kindle user, your Amazon login information.
Family Storytimes
When: Mondays, 10:00-10:30 a.m.; Tuesdays, 7:00-7:30 p.m.; Wednesdays, 10:00-10:30 a.m.; Thursdays 10:00-10:30 a.m. (excludes Jan. 3); Saturdays 10:00-10:30 a.m (excludes Jan. 5).
Details: Family Storytime allows caregivers to actively engage with their children under age 5. With a Youth Librarian, build early literacy skills through meaningful stories, songs, and play.
Preschool Storytime
When: Mondays, 10:00-10:30 a.m.; Fridays, 1:00-1:30 p.m.
Details: Preschool storytimes feature longer books, flannel board and rhymes designed for children ages 3 1/2 - 5. Children must be able to sit independently and be attentive for 30 minutes. Parents may attend to help transition their child to this program. All parents must remain in the children's department. Registration required.
Baby Storytime
When: Tuesdays, 10-10:30 a.m.
Details: Designed for babies 18 months and younger with an adult, Baby Storytime features simple
stories, songs, and rhymes. Registration required.
ABC Activity Time
When: After every baby, preschool, bilingual and family storytime; lasts 30 minutes
Details: Experience a variety of hands-on and imaginative play opportunities while building social and cooperative skills with other young children and caregivers.
ELL Reading Group
When: Fridays, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
Details: Beginning or Intermediate English Language Learners are invited to read together and discuss short articles, etc., in English with a tutor.
Advanced ELL Book Club
When: Fridays, Jan. 4 and 18, Noon-1:00 p.m.
Details: Advanced English Language Learners read and discuss books in English.
Board Gaming League of Canton
When: First Saturday of each month, noon-5:45 p.m.
Details: Drop by to play some of the hottest games, sharpen your mental skills and meet new
folks.
On the Spot Tech Help
When: Sundays, 3:30-5:30 p.m.
Details: Tech savvy volunteers lend a hand with computer and smartphone problems that you just can’t figure out.
NHS Tutoring
When: Jan. 7, 8, 10, 14, 15, 17, 28, 29, 31 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.; Jan. 13, 20, 27 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Details: NHS Students from PCCS’s The Park provide homework help for students in grades three
to 12.
Adult Writers’ Group
When: Tuesday, Jan. 8 and 22, 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Details: Interested in writing? Share your work, get feedback and discuss the craft of writing.
CPL Domino Club
When: Saturday, Jan. 12, 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Details: The Domino Topplers of Michigan teach building techniques and help organize a large group topple. Dominos donated by Zeal Credit Union.
Starfish Family Services Early Literacy Workshops
When: Second Monday of each month, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Details: SFS provides free, high quality, early literacy training to day care providers, caregivers
and parents. They teach topics, this month’s being Conflict Resolutions: Toddler Temperament, developed by the independent non-profit HighScope Educational Research Foundation.

American Girl Club
When: Wednesday, Jan. 16, 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Details: Character Kaya, 1796, is highlighted. Ages 8-12, registration required.
Daytime Dungeons & Dragons Gaming Club
When: Thursday, Jan. 17, 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Details: Have fun while meeting and socializing with others who enjoy role-playing games. All playing materials provided, but feel free to bring your own dice or Fifth Edition Character Sheet. Ages 9 and up.
Teen Boredom Busters
When: For five or 50 minutes, any time
Details: Students who need a brain break after school can learn something new, meet a friend,
relieve stress and have fun in our Teen Space with passive or planned activities, like a Mad Snack Lab from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on Jan. 17.

Details: Two age-based segments of activities, youth reading and movies, including a peace march at 2:15 p.m. Bring a pair of new underwear or socks for donations to local shelters. Sponsored by the Plymouth-Canton ICO, The Beloved Community.

Lit Lab Productions: Fairy Tale Remix
