Wayne County Parks 23rd Annual Fishing Derby Saturday, June 9th

This outstanding event for parents and children, is sponsored and run by the Plymouth-Canton Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 528...

It is a special thing for a child to catch their first fish, and a bunch of young boys and girls will get their shot at some Rainbow Trout on June 9th , from 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Waterford Bend Park in Northville. The Wayne County Parks 23th Annual Fishing Derby is a fantastic chance for parents, and grandparents to teach the young ones the joy of fishing.

This event is sponsored in cooperation with Northville Parks & Recreation, Cabela's, Eppinger Manufacturing, and our very own Plymouth-Canton Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 528. A special thanks should go to Vietnam veterans, Tom Brown who has been the driving force , and chairman for this event for years, along with co-chairs Gene Spurgess, and Dean Bell. They will be helped out by a number of veterans from the Plymouth-Canton Vietnam Veterans of America, who absolutely love doing this for the kids in our community.
