Woman Struck And Killed Crossing Michigan Ave.
The 30-year-old Canton Township woman was hit as she crossed Michigan Ave.
CANTON, MI — A 30-year-old woman was tragically struck and killed as she crossed Michigan Ave., according to police.
On Dec. 12 at approximately 11:34 p.m., Canton Police were dispatched to the scene of a vehicle-pedestrian crash. Police say a 30-year-old Canton Township woman was crossing the westbound lanes of Michigan Ave. at Lotz Rd. when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
The vehicle stopped at the scene and the victim was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Livonia in critical condition where she succumbed to her injuries.

The Canton Police Department’s Accident Investigation Team was called in to investigate and police say that speed, alcohol, and distracted driving do not appear to be factors in the crash. At this time, it appears that charges against the driver won't be filed.
