1-Month-Old Baby Dies From Imlay City Mobile Home Fire

Four siblings have no died from the fire. Here's the latest.

IMLAY CITY, MI — The one-month-old baby who was pulled from a mobile home fire in Imlay City died Tuesday morning.

A statement from the family Wednesday morning said that the child, identified as 1-month-old Keyairah Kelly, "became an angel this morning and went to be with her two brothers and sister in heaven."

Three of her siblings died in the fire. Another sibling was injured and so were her parents. The three remain hospitalized.

The fire broke out around 3 a.m. Tuesday in the Maple Grove Communities neighborhood. Authorities are still investigating the fire but sources say the furnace was not working and it could have been a heating-related issue.

Police arrived to find the 29-year-old mother outside hysterical, according to reports. The trailer was already fully engulfed at that point.

Firefighters arrived at the scene, got into the home and recovered six people. According to the GoFundMe page, 3-year-old Keyanna Kelly, 5-year-old Keyondre Kelly and 6-year-old Keith Kelly were all pronounced dead.
