20 Activities To Try At Rochester's 2020 Fire & Ice Festival
Here's your guide to all the activities — from ice carving to beer tents to zip lines and live music — happening in Rochester Jan. 17-19.

ROCHESTER, MI — This weekend brings one of the most popular mid-winter events to take place around Metro Detroit: Rochester's Fire & Ice Festival. It runs 5-9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The event offers both family-friendly and adult activities, centered around spectacular ice sculptures.
But, the event is so much more than that.

Here are 20 activities happening at this year's event:
- The ice carving competition, of course. 10 a.m. Saturday at East Second and Mill streets.
- Tastefest Tent. East Second and Mill streets
- Tube Sledding Hill. Mill and East Second streets
- Ice sculpture show. Downtown Rochester
- Carriage Rides. Friday and Saturday until 7 p.m. at West Third and Walnut streets
- K-9 demonstration. 2 p.m. Saturday at East Second and Mill streets
- Pet adoption. East Second and Mill streets
- Food Truck Rally. East Second and Mill streets
- Marshmallow Roasting. East Third and Main streets
- Face painting. East Second and Mill streets (inside TasteFest Tent)
- 5K race. 9:30 a.m. Sunday on Mills
- Dog sled rides. Until 4 p.m. at East Second and Mill streets
- Spaghetti dinner. 5-8 p.m. Friday and 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Rochester Fire Hall
- Pancake breakfast. 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at Rochester Fire Hall
- Cornhole. East Second and Mill streets
- Ice skating. East Second and Mill streets, (weather permitting)
- Big, Bright Light Show. Downtown Rochester
- Live music. Inside restaurants Downtown Rochester
- Fireworks. 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, East Second and Mill streets
