Three Inches Of Snow Expected Today Across Southeastern Michigan

METRO DETROIT, MI — Snow is falling and a Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued by the National Weather Service. We can expect up to three inches of snow accumulation, forecasters say. The snowy area stretches from southeastern Michigan into the thumb.

There will be a mix of snow and rain, making sleet and slushy conditions on the roadway, forecasters warn.

Thursday
Rain and snow. High near 37. East southeast wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Thursday night
Rain and snow likely, becoming all snow after 11pm. Cloudy, with a low around 31. Light and variable wind becoming west southwest 5 to 9 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Friday
Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. Southwest wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Friday Night
Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. West wind 8 to 11 mph.

Saturday
A chance of showers after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 38. West southwest wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Saturday Night
Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Sunday
Partly sunny, with a high near 36.
