Construction Begins At Woodward And 10 Mile In Royal Oak
Tis the season for construction and this busy Royal Oak intersection is next on MDOT's list.
ROYAL OAK, MI — Construction barrels are going up in Royal Oak. Starting the week of July 22, The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be making safety improvements around the Woodward Avenue and 10 Mile intersection.
The improvements include minor road reconfiguration, sidewalk improvements and signage that will make safer turning and pedestrian movements, according to the city.
During the project southbound Washington at Woodward will become two travel lanes crossing northbound Woodward to allow for widened sidewalks across Woodward.

During construction, traffic lanes will be reduced on Woodward Avenue, 10 Mile Rd.-the I-696 service Drive and Washington Avenue. It is expected to be completed in October, city officials said.
The contractor performing the work is C.A. Hull, Co.
