Great Marshmallow Drop Hosted In Royal Oak
Some 15,000 marshmallows will be dropped from the sky in this annual tradition in April.

ROYAL OAK, MI — It's that time of year again for one of families' favorite seasonal activities -- a marshmallow hunt.
Where can you see 15,000 marshmellows fall from the sky? Wooden Park in Royal Oak. At 10 a.m. on Friday, April 19 a helicopter will drop the marshmallows to kids below.
The children will be broken up into three different age groups:

- 4 years and younger and individuals with disabilities
- Children 5-7 years old
- Children 8-12 years old
Children only need to collect one marshmellow to exchange it for a prize.
This event is presented by Oakland County Parks, City of Royal Oak, Vibe Credit Union and Detroit Kid City.
