Royal Oak Market: Spring Art Fair Features 75 Artists

Art fair season kicks off at the Royal Oak Farmers Market April 5-6. Here's a look at what's in store this year.

ROYAL OAK, MI — It’s that time of the year again. The Royal Oak Market: Spring Art Fair is kicking off the art fair season, featuring 75 different artists and their latest works of art April 5-6. Hosted by the Guild of Artists & Artisans, the fair includes the juried art event from artists across four states, food trucks, live entertainment, and wine and beer. The event is free and open to the public.

“Art fairs offer the opportunity to see as much work as possible in a short amount of time,” said Karen Delhey, Guild executive director. “They provide a great opportunity to look at amazing art and talk to the artists directly.”

The festivities take place at the Royal Oak Farmers Market, 316 E. Eleven Mile Road from noon to 10 p.m. both Thursday and Friday. Featured work includes sculptures from Ohio-based artist Richard Morgan, ceramics from local artist Linda Buck of Berkley and metals from Robert McPherson of Huntington Woods. Parking will be free for the event.
