Royal Oak Police Make Arrests At Arts, Beats & Eats
Here's the account of two arrests that occurred during the city's recent Arts, Beats & Eats festival.

ROYAL OAK, MI — While most attendees of the 2019 Arts, Beats & Eats festival had a good time, a couple folks ended up arrested at the event.
Royal Oak Police made at least two arrests at the event: one for disorderly conduct, another for theft.
Police said a 38-year-old Portage man was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstructing police after he got in the way of authorities trying to aide a woman who fell and injured herself. Police said the man was an acquaintance of the woman who was hurt, but that he kept trying to pull the woman away from first responders.

Officers on foot patrol arrested another man near South Center and West Fifth street after reportedly seeing him steal beverages from a closed festival booth.
Both arrests occurred on Aug. 31.
