Royal Oak Schools Cancel Monday Evening Activities

Here's a look at postponements made due to Monday's Winter Weather Advisory.

ROYAL OAK, MI —A Winter Weather Advisory is in place and some six inches of snow are expected around Royal Oak. The school district has cancelled evening activities due to the weather.

Supt. Mary Beth Fitzpatrick announced that all evening activities are canceled for Monday, including evening classes at the Churchill Community Education Center. Royal Oak High School athletic registration and girls basketball tryouts will be postponed until tomorrow at the same time and location, per Don Watchowski, ROHS athletic director.

Young Oaks Latchkey will remain in session as scheduled and school will dismiss at its regular time for students currently in class.
