Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Saturday's Snow Fall

Here's what you need to know as Metro Detroit prepares for up to 5 inches of snow and temps in the teens this weekend.

METRO DETROIT MI — A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Southeastern Michigan as the region prepares for frigid temperatures and several inches of snow.

The advisory is in effect from 2 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in Wayne, Washtenaw, Lenawee and Monroe Counties, according to the National Weather Service. The lart says to expected up to 5 inches of snow and plan for slippery road conditions with limited visibility.

Partly sunny, with a high near 33. West northwest wind around 8 mph.

Tonight
Snow, mainly after 11pm. Low around 22. Northeast wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Snow, mainly before 3pm. High near 24. Northeast wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of around 2 inches.

A chance of snow before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 13. Wind chill values as low as -2. Blustery, with a north wind around 21 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Sunday
Partly sunny, with a high near 16. Blustery, with a north wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 2.
