1 Dead In Monday Motorcycle Crash: Shelby Township PD

Police said one person died Monday night when they were involved in a motorcycle crash.

SHELBY TWP., MI — A 37-year-old Roseville resident died Monday night when the motorcycle they were riding crashed into another vehicle, according to the Shelby Township Police Department.

Police said that around 10:51 p.m., police and fire units were dispatched to Schoenherr and Greenville, just north of 21 Mile, following the report of a car-motorcycle crash.

Police said the victim was riding a 2012 Yamaha motorcycle north on Schoenherr when it crashed into a southbound 2015 Cadillac SRX that began turning left from Schoenherr onto Greenville.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated what happened, police said. It is unclear if speed, alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash, police said.
