Craft Along Wednesday With The Shelby Township Library

Join us on the library Facebook page at 1:30 pm each Wednesday to make a fun craft. Starting Monday you can get a supply kit from the library (while supplies last) or use supplies you have in your home. One kit per child in a family.

Balloon Party Poppers

1 regular sized paper drinking cup1 balloonScissorsPaint, markers, stickers, glitter glue, or whatever you desire fordecorating the cupPom poms, marshmallows, or other small objects for popping out of thecup

1. Decorate the outside of your cup however you like.2. Have a grown up help cut out the bottom circle of the cup.3. Tie a knot in the balloon at the bottom and snip off the top partjust across the top.4. Slip the balloon securely on around the bottom of the cup where thehole has been cut.5. Place a few mini marshmallows or pom poms in the cup. Pull theknotted end of the balloon and let go to shoot off your party popper!You could even try putting a bit of water in the cup for outdoor play,or put some confetti inside to shower someone on a special day.
