Grupo Antolin Adding 200 Employees To Shelby Plant

The Spanish auto interior components maker will pay new hires a minimum of $14.50 and will offer vacation pay and other benefits.

Grupo Antolin will add more than 200 hourly workers to the staff of 340 currently working at the auto components maker’s Shelby Township manufacturing facility. The new plant opened in November and cost $61.2 million, according to Crain’s Detroit Business. The direct-hire positions offer starting pay ranging from $14.50 to $14.75 an hour. In addition to vacation pay, the company also provides a 401(k), along with medical and dental insurance.

The Spanish interior components supplier, whose North American HQ is in Auburn Hills, will partner with Shelby Township job recruiters Express Employment Professionals to fill the positions. Paul LaFrance, general manager of Express Employment, told Crain’s that finding qualified applicants can be a tall order in today’s tight labor market. Grupo Antolin has over 26,000 employees across the globe.
