Macomb County Animal Control Teams With Pet Supplies Plus

Shoppers can buy items from Clinton Township store to donate to shelter.

Macomb County Animal Control and Pet Supplies Plus in Clinton Township have joined to help bring in some donations for the animal shelter.

From now through the end of December, residents will be able to visit the Pet Supplies Plus at 42241 Garfield Road in Clinton Township and buy specific items needed by the shelter animals.

Jeff Randazzo, director of the Macomb County Animal Control division, created a list of items the shelter can use:

  • Canned dog & cat food
  • Dry cat and kitten food
  • Indestructible toys (Kongs, Nylabones, etc.)
  • Dog leashes (Sporns, Easy Walks)
  • Cat and dog collars
A shopper can go into the Clinton Township Pet Supplies Plus and buy any of the items on the list and then place it in the donation box to be delivered to Macomb County Animal Control.

“We are so grateful for our working relationship with Pet Supplies Plus,” said Randazzo. “The donations of the stores’ customers have greatly enriched the lives of the animals that are in our care.”

Bonanni also helped the shelter during the month of October, which is National Shelter Dog Adoption Month. During that time, when customers came up to the register, they were able to make a money donation directly to Macomb County Animal Control.

Bonanni said $2,246 was raised, which was given in Pet Supplies Plus gift cards back to the shelter.
