Grant to Disability Network Oakland & Macomb focuses on preventing neglect and exploitation

State Rep. Doug Wozniak announced today the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services awarded a grant to the Troy-based Disability Network Oakland & Macomb.

The program, funded by the MDHHS’s Prevent Elder and Vulnerable Adult Abuse, Exploitation, Neglect Today (PREVNT) initiative, is intended to prevent abuse, neglect, and exploitation of elders and other vulnerable adults.

“This grant will help Disability Network Oakland & Macomb continue the important work they do to safeguard our most vulnerable citizens,” Wozniak said. “I commend MDHHS for their commitment to this vital issue.”
