Sandwiches For A Year: Sub Shop Opens With A Contest
If you're among the first 100 customers, you could win yourself a sandwich a week for the next year.

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, MI – Penn State East Coast Subs, a fast-food sandwich shop, will open at 56545 Van Dyke Avenue on Wednesday. The first 100 customers will be entered to win subs for a year via Penn Station’s mobile app.
One grand prize winner will receive free subs for a year (a 6-inch sub per week for a year) and 99 runner-up winners will get a free meal (6-inch sandwich, small fresh-cut fry and a drink) upon downloading and registering the Penn Station East Coast Subs app.
The Shelby Township restaurant is the third location for owner Justin Smith and his managing partner, Don Gheysens. The pair’s other locations are in Sterling Heights and Fort Gratiot. They will open at least two more Penn Station restaurants in the metro Detroit area or southern St. Clair County in the next few years.
