Traffic Accident Claims Shelby Township Man’s Life
Shelby Township Police responded to a fatal accident last night.

Monday morning, around 12:30 a.m., a Shelby Township police officer witnessed a crash between two cars traveling on 21 Mile Road near Milonas. After one officer saw the crash involving a involving a 2012 Toyota Sienna and 2005 Audi, emergency personnel and more officers were called to the scene where a 40-year-old Sterling Heights woman and a 23-year-old Shelby Township man were trapped in their vehicles. After freeing the injured man and woman, first responders rushed them to Henry Ford Hospital.
“Sadly, the male subject was not able to survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The extent of the female’s injury is not known as this time. The initial investigation has found that alcohol may be a factor in the accident,” Shelby Township Police said in a statement.
