6-Year-Old, Dad Dead In Apparent Murder-Suicide
Police say a 35-year-old father shot his 6-year-old son then himself in Port Huron Monday night.
PORT HURON, MI — A father and his son are dead after what police say was an apparent murder-suicide in Port Huron.
Reports say the Port Huron Police Department responded around 8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21 to a home in the 3000 block of Cooper Avenue for a welfare check.
Inside the home, police found 6-year-old boy and his 35-year-old father, both of Port Huron, and they were both pronounced dead at the scene, MLive reported.

Police say a handgun was recovered.
