Authorities Digging For Bodies In Macomb County

Local police, the sheriff's office and the FBI are all on site where they believe up to six bodies may be buried.

MACOMB, MI — Tuesday marks day two that authorities are reportedly digging for bodies in Macomb Township. The Warren Police Department, Macomb County Sheriff’s Office and FBI are all on site and they are hoping for clues in several cold cases dating back to the 1970s.

Crews started digging Monday after obtaining a search warrant for the property near 23 Mile Road and North Avenue. It’s a wooded area along the North Branch Clinton River.

Channel 4 reported that authorities believe as many as six bodies could be buried in the same location. It's the same area where the remains of 13-year-old Cyndi Zarzycki were found after her killer led investigators to the spot, according to the report. Arthur Ream killed Zarzycki when she was just 13 years old in 1986 and revealed in 2008 where he had left her body.
