WATCH: Police Share Evidence In St. Clair Shores Police Shooting

The shooting left both 29-year-old Theoddeus Gray and St. Clair Shores Police K-9 Axe dead.

ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — The Macomb County Sheriff's Office Wednesday morning will release the results of an investigation into a shooting that left a man and a K-9 dead, including photographs and video from that night.

The shooting happened before 6:30 p.m. Nov. 4 outside the Lakeland Manor Banquet Hall on Harper Avenue in St. Clair Shores where Theoddeus Gray, 29, of Detroit, and his girlfriend, were there for their baby shower.

Someone called 911 and told police there was a man outside with a gun.When police arrived Gray was outside. Police said Gray was opened fire on the the K-9 Axe and an officer returned fire, killing Gray. Axe, who had been a sworn canine officer since 2016, also died in the event.

Wednesday morning Sheriff Anthony Wickersham is expected to release the results of the investigation, as well as video of what happened that night and still photographs.
