2 Injured In Oakland County House Explosion

The home may have been the site of a marijuana grow operation, according to WXYZ.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — Two people were injured early Thursday morning when a Commerce Township home in the area of Arbutus Street and Pittsfield Street exploded.

The explosion happened around 12:30 a.m., according to WXYZ. Fire crews told the TV station the explosion led to a fire. Small explosions followed the initial blast, according to WXYZ.

Firefighters had to remove two people from the burning home and take them to a local hospital, according to WXYZ.

About six propane tanks were pulled away from the home, the TV station reported, adding that investigators are speculating the home could have been the site of a marijuana grow operation.
