A road rage incident continued south on Rochester before both Dombrowski and the Jeep Cherokee pulled into the parking lot of the Shell gas station at Rochester and Wattles, police said. Gas station security video showed Josey and Dombrowski immediately confront each other before Dombrowski was shot three times in the upper torso, police said. Josey got back into the vehicle, police said, which then drove off east on Wattles.

Troy police were called to the gas station around 9:44 p.m. Monday. They found Dombrowski and treated him for injuries before he was taken to a local hospital, where he died, according to police.

Josey and the driver of the Jeep Cherokee turned themselves into police Tuesday morning, police said. The 9 mm semi-automatic handgun used in the shooting was recovered, police said.
