Sneak Peek: AirTime Trampoline to Offer Fun, Games, Jobs and More in Troy

The trampoline and game park is slated to open toward the end of the month with an official grand opening planned for Oct. 20.

Ohio couple Pam and Will Wannemacher have been generating quite a buzz in Troy since moving here just three months ago. Word of their unique trampoline-themed indoor park, , is spreading as the couple prepares to open in just a few weeks.

But what, exactly, will AirTime Trampoline & Game Park be bringing to Troy? Patch has the scoop.

A local feel

The Wannemachers may be new to Troy, but they already "feel more at home here in Troy than we ever did in Ohio," Pam said.

The couple scouted multiple locations nationwide when searching for the perfect location for their indoor trampoline park, finally settling on Troy in June because of its business-friendly environment and, most importantly, its community feel.

"We picked the right city," Pam said. "I absolutely love it, and the people have been warm and have helped us out."

But the Wannemachers aren't just bringing 31,000 square feet of trampolines and games to kids (and adults) in Troy – they're also planning on doing everything they can to support local bands, non-profit organizations, schools and other organizations in the area.

"We thought it was important" to support local organizations, Pam said.

The couple, who have been married for four years, also thought it'd "be fun to be around kids," Pam said.

They have already begun speaking with area schools and other organizations about hosting fundraising nights at AirTime, where portion of the ticket sales would be donated back to the community organization. 

What it will have

In addition to more than 15,000 square feet of trampolines separated by age group (so you don't have to worry about your wee ones getting trampled), AirTime will also have:

  • trampoline dodgeball courts
  • traditional dodgeball courts
  • dodgeball leagues for adults
  • trampoline basketball courts for all ages
  • foam pits
  • food court featuring
  • banquet/meeting facilities featuring Encore Catering
  • a dance floor
  • live music from local bands (interested bands should email music@airtimetrampoline.com)
  • a playlist featuring local bands
  • music , who has worked with artists like Eminem and Jay-Z, on Fridays and Saturdays
  • online reservations and ability to pay online
  • teen nights Fridays (9-11 p.m.) and Saturdays (10 p.m.-midnight)
  • party areas that can accommodate up to 200 people

Oh, did we mention they're hiring?

Along with all of the above, AirTime is also bringing 80 jobs to Troy, and they're hiring now.

AirTime is hosting its today and tomorrow and will be immediately hiring customer service associates, event hosts, court monitors and maintenance personnel. 

The job fair will be held at (662 East Big Beaver Road in Troy) on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 16 from 1-5 p.m.  Interested applicants may like AirTime’s Facebook page, download an application, and submit the application to jobs@airtimetrampoline.com. 

Prices, hours and more

AirTime will be open from noon - 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 11 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-midnight Saturday, and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday.  

The cost to jump is $12 per hour Monday through Thursday and $14 per hour Friday through Sunday, though "people who aren't jumping don't have to pay," Pam said.

The facility will have benches for parents of younger children so they may supervise without having to jump if they don't want to. Parents may also take advantage of the leather chairs, flat screen televisions and free WiFi inside the facility.

"We want the parents to feel comfortable here, too," she said.

AirTime will have a soft opening in late September and will host its grand opening celebration on Oct. 20.
